Ever wondered where we come from? What life lessons are stored in us? Who are the people who influenced our lives and who we are today?
Can we lose our soul?
Can you lose your soul, and how can you heal it? Many more people than you think lose their soul. The answer to whether you can lose your soul is "Yes!"
"Every book... has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs their eyes over its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens." ~ Carlos Ruis Zafon
And that's exactly how it is, a book has energy, every word has its power and its radiance. If you are very sensitive, you can read a book without reading it. It is exactly the same with a soul. The soul is susceptible to every energy that interferes with it, be it positive or negative. Everything what happens with the soul is recorded in the Akasha records. You can read about it in our article. https://xcodexfoundation.nl/blog/de-akasha-kronieken-archieven-van-de-ziel/
What causes the loss of the soul?
What causes the loss of our soul? Of course, it is not the case that we lose our soul completely, with every trauma we lose a part of it. Then a part of our vital essence separates from us in order to survive the experience. We do this, especially as children, to escape the full impact of the pain. The impact of what you experience as a child is too great to comprehend. You cannot cope with it with the emotional and mental capacity you have as a child.
Every time you cut off a part of yourself, you experience this as losing a part of your soul. This event takes the form of a constant feeling and experience of incompleteness and disconnection. The more you are forced to do this, the more you become detached from yourself. You feel the gaps in your soul, which you often let others fill in. In this way, the unwanted dependence on another arises because you no longer feel yourself. So another has to confirm you to such an extent that it still feels that you exist and are alive.
When you hear people say: 'I have never been the same since a certain event', there has probably been a loss of soul. So in order to survive, you have closed off a part of your soul.
In Shamanism, soul loss is a well-known phenomenon.
In Shamanism, soul loss is a well-known phenomenon. The word Shaman, from the Tungus tribe in Siberia, means "one who sees in the dark". In Shamanism, loss of soul is a well-known phenomenon and there are methods to retrieve the lost soul. https://www.soulpurpose.eu/zieleverlies-soulretrieval/
During this soul retrieval process, the shaman moves in an altered state of consciousness to realities that are beyond normal perception (not our reality). These are also called hidden spirit worlds. The shaman travels there to find the lost part of the soul.
In some cases, there is reluctance of the soul to return. The soul knows that when it reconnects with the body, the pain for which it left will return. Often, the soul does not even know that a separation has taken place. In most cases, the soul would like to return, but does not know how.
As soon as the lost soul is located, the Shaman will acknowledge the former pain. Then he will gently negotiate the soul's return to the body. The Shaman then brings the soul back to normal reality. He then blows (literally) the missing soul part back into the body through the head or heart.
A trained Shamanist can ask his "companions" to perform a soul restoration in his name. Also, in a healing dream, the Shaman can perform a "soul retrieval" during the dream state.
What are the symptoms of soul loss?
The most common symptoms of soul loss are dissociation, where a person does not feel fully in his or her body. In addition, the person does not feel truly involved in life and sometimes feels as if he/she is not alive. Other symptoms are chronic depression, suicidal tendencies, post-traumatic stress syndrome, immune deficiency problems and grief that cannot be stopped and healed. Addictions are also a sign of soul loss. In fact, during an intoxication caused by an addiction, parts of your soul may also be released into it.
In people who suffer from soul loss, unconsciously enormous amounts of psychic energy are spent on searching for the lost parts. A soul will always try to find unity again.
Loss of soul is much more common than you think
In our little country alone, there are millions of people walking around with soul loss, only we call it different. The best thing you can compare it with is a dissociation or an "inner child".
This principle is much more established than shamanism. An inner child arises from too much "early life" stress, which the child does not know how to handle. These events do not always have to be the most horrible things. Which parent does not yell at a child a few times? Yet this can be reason enough for a child to push away parts of this experience. Every time you push away parts of your feeling or experience, you lose a piece of your soul. If you do this often as a child, then it feels indeed as if you are no longer yourself at all. The parts that you push away do not grow up and can react like a child. Even if you have grown up a long time ago.
Dissociation can be caused by many things, by prolonged stress. But also because of a wrong balance in the neurotransmitters so that neurons can no longer communicate well. I have had many people in my practice who had all these feelings simply because they were eating the wrong things. But also because some functions in their body no longer functioned correctly, because of toxins, wrong gene mutations the so-called SNPs, because of a leaky gut, burned-out or many intolerances to food. It can be caused by so many things and situations. But also by excessive drinking, drug use, but even by too many energy drinks. People can be so sensitive that, by smoking weed, they become totally detached from themselves. I have seen a lot of young people in my practice, totally disconnected by drug use. Many souls I had to reconnect with their bodies.
In dissociation, the psychological feelings are much more intense.
Actually, dissociation is also what happens with the creation of an inner child. Only with dissociation, psychological feelings are much more intense. You feel like you are hanging above yourself, having blurred visions and feelings in the brain. It is much more difficult to manifest, you are intensely affected. You are often stressed, afraid, you feel much more than you normally do. You also often hear that these people have spiritual perceptions, start seeing colours, other souls, feel the presence of souls you can’t see. Not only that, but you get feelings of insecurity, indeterminacy, not being able to relax, constantly being startled awake and a constant great restlessness.
If you have inner children, all these symptoms are less. You are easily affected, you can react like a small child, extremely emotional, often totally inappropriate to the situation. The stress and fear is there, but it is less predominant. But as soon as you are touched in your pain, all brakes go off in your expression of emotions. The shame afterwards is many times more, because you are more connected with here.
Normal Western medicine has no framework for these diagnoses
However, Western medicine has no framework for these kinds of diagnoses, because it only deals with imbalances when they occur on the physical and mental level.
Western medicine treats chronic pain with painkillers, insomnia with sleeping pills. Weight problems with diet and exercise, and most damaging of all, they label soul loss as mental illness. They cover the symptoms with psychiatric (often harmful) drugs that can make things even worse. It is like putting a plaster on a wound that will not heal under its bandage.
This patching can lead to deep feelings of unhappiness and depression that many come to see as normal. Ultimately, this prolonged dissociation leads to an indefinable emptiness that manifests itself in a loss of meaning, direction, vitality, mission, purpose, identity and real connection. You are constantly searching to fill in this feeling of emptiness.
Your soul is searching with an unceasing yearning for unity.
This spiritual void is always present and constantly trying to get your attention. It awakens your soul's unceasing yearning to integrate all its highest qualities. The entire Divine essence, all of you into one total unity.
Simply put, the soul is always trying to reconnect with that from which it came, the source.
Symptoms of soul loss in addition to all those mentioned above
- You find it difficult to be and remain totally present somewhere, you often hear and see things from a distance;
- Feeling numb, apathetic or deadened;
- Chronic depression; you don't like to be alone;
- You have problems with your immune system, you are often ill;
- Chronically ill as a child;
- Memory disorders, you know and feel that you have suppressed important traumas;
- Struggling with addictions, for example to alcohol, drugs, food, sex or gambling;
- Looking for external things to fill an inner void;
- Difficulty moving on with your life after a divorce or the death of a loved one;
- You suffer from multiple personality syndrome (at least that is what psychiatrists think of you do);
Within the situations of physical and emotional abuse, denial and trauma, there are many experiences in life that can be too difficult to bear. Soul loss is an understandable reaction to spiritual wounding, and deep splintering of one's soul essence.
The most important factor in healing is the retrieval of all soul parts.
Soul retrieval is not a quick fix. If the person has done a lot of personal development, soul retrieval may be the end of the job. If not, soul retrieval is the beginning of the work. After that, there will have to be a deep personal development process, to live through all the traumas. It does not matter if you are in the beginning or the end, but the most important factor is that you are going to heal yourself.
You have to be willing to do the work necessary to participate in your own healing. You have to be willing to look at yourself with new eyes, to learn, and to endure your pains. This can be done together with an inner child therapist who knows a lot about spirituality or with a good reliable Shaman. In another blog, we will share more information about healing and regaining the oneness of the soul.
